Spider-Man: No Way Home is the most highly anticipated superhero movie since 2019's Avengers: Endgame, and fans are anxious to learn everything and anything they can about what's to come.
It's obvious Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures are being careful to keep some of the threequel's biggest secrets under wraps, but those who thought they'd spotted James Franco's Harry Osborn in the latest trailer are likely to be disappointed. A 4K version of the preview has been shared online, and it makes it clear that the "second Goblin" spotted in one shot is actually Willem Dafoe's Norman Osborn.
We don't know what leads to him getting a new suit (or goggles instead of his trademark mask), but this shot does match a leaked costume test photo that did the rounds not too long ago. It's an intriguing look for the Goblin, and could be the result of an earlier battle with the wall-crawler.
Check out the spectacular 4K trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home below:
"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk," reads the new synopsis. "When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse."
Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, J.K. Simmons, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx. Based on the new trailer, we can now add Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, and Rhys Ifans to that impressive list of actors (fingers crossed for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield).
Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17 and in the UK on December 15.
